Our client, a well-funded AI startup, is seeking a versatile and proactive Growth Marketing Lead to design and execute scalable, innovative growth strategies within a dynamic startup environment. This role is perfect for an experienced growth marketer who thrives in fast-paced settings, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and is eager to build strategies from the ground up.
Unlike traditional roles, this position requires a generalist mindset focused heavily on growth. You'll own end-to-end responsibilities, from customer acquisition and lifecycle campaigns to technical setup and brand initiatives, all aimed at driving substantial growth without relying on large budgets.
Your Responsibilities:
Own and enhance the self-serve customer journey to maximize revenue growth, customer activation, and retention.
Collaborate closely with sales teams to build pipeline opportunities, refine the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), and identify critical intent signals.
Creatively drive brand awareness through diverse channels, including community engagement, email marketing, events, demand generation, and social platforms like Reddit.
Develop and meticulously optimize each conversion stage in the marketing funnel, consistently testing and iterating strategies for maximum impact.
Execute hands-on growth experiments and swiftly iterate strategies based on performance insights, scaling successful tactics into sustainable practices.
Lead email marketing initiatives, including lifecycle management, automated sequencing, and targeted nurturing campaigns to support customer retention and expansion.
Qualifications:
4+ years of proven experience in growth marketing, particularly at early-stage startups, ideally including experience as an early or first marketing hire.
A non-traditional marketer comfortable with hands-on execution across a broad range of marketing activities and initiatives.
Demonstrated success driving significant growth without extensive budgets.
Exceptional analytical skills, creative thinking, and agility in execution.
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive salary range of $150k - $185k, commensurate with experience.
Equity participation.

Hybrid work policy, with a preference for candidates in San Francisco (open to exceptional candidates based in New York or fully remote).
